Carla walked down the boardwalk while thinking herself a complete fool for doing this. But it had to be done; she needed to prove to herself that she was strong and capable on her own. The time for waiting was past; the time for finding her strength was now. Life was short; there was no time for fear to hold her back. She had to do this; confront her demon, the dark night. A noise behind her caused her to suddenly turn, there he was.
“I knew you were still with me. Even after death; you still watch over me.”
Today's picture spoke to me as I am facing down my own fears lately and learning to be stronger than I ever have had to be. I hope you enjoyed my little Flash and that you will leave me a comment to give me your opinion. Remember, Life is Short and we have to make the most of every day, always. :)

Dear SHERRY you are always so fantastic . I loved your post
I feel your strength growing through Carla. Is HE really there? Is it her fear or her confidence that follows her, watching over her? Flight or Fight? I loved this and yes, life is way too short........congrats, great flash:) xo
You squeezed my heart. Loved it.
How did she die and who is the man following her after she's dead? Is that the fear she must face? All these questions I wanted to ask, because you have the reader interested. Nice job.
*shiver* Lovely touch of eeriness.
Great take on the picture, poignant and eerie!
It's a wonderful display of passion! I really felt it.
Eery, Haunted and yet, inspirational. Well Done, Sherry :) The paths we all walk vary so much.
Fabulous Flasher! Loved your take on the photo.
Uh, wow. Hmm, I'm kinda at a loss for words. This is a one of those FFF's that leaves me wondering what the heck just happened - which is not necessarily a bad thing. The writing is excellent and I can feel Carla's angst. Now I've got to get my brain to fill in the blanks.
Michelle, well done. Anytime a FFF makes me think - really think, it's one I'll remember. Muwah!@
Oh endless love, how beautifuly haunting. I loved it.
